12" (30 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, round blue eyes, painted lashes, tiny closed mouth, blonde flossed hair with arranged curls, felt body with jointed arms and legs. Wearing matching costume to the following lot #160 with variation is decorated hat box and green felt shoes. Condition: excellent. Comments: Lenci, model BC/27, 1940s. Value Points: the model, known as La Modestina was a well-deserved tribute to the felt hat makers of Turin who were formative in the creation and design of the Lenci doll.
