Description
12" (30 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, rounded brown down- glancing eyes, painted upper lashes, dash brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, stitched-on sizable ears with one bangle earring, stitched-on black skull cap, head attached to hollow costume and arms, designed for use as hand puppet. Wearing red felt jacket with yellow zig-zag applique, six buttons, and holding red felt cap and wooden sword. Condition: excellent. Marks: Lenci (cloth and paper labels). Comments: Lenci, from a series of hand puppets appearing in the 1933 catalog, this identified as "335/5". Value Points: well-preserved novelty with accessories.
