17" (43 cm.) Felt swivel head with very plump cheeks, pressed and painted facial features, narrow brown side-glancing eyes, painted curly lashes feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lower lip, weft-stitched brunette mohair wig with tiny braids and coiled topknot braid, pierced ears with bangle earrings, felt body with jointed arms and legs. Wearing felt checkered blue/pink and cream dress, cotton petticoat and panties, socks, blue felt shoes, white cotton apron. Condition: doll is good albeit felt rubbed, costume is fair/good with some moth holes, shoes worn. Comments: Lenci, 1500 series, early 1930s. Value Points: the petulant expression is nicely framed by unusual coiffure.
