12" (30 cm.) One-piece carved wood head, torso and legs, jointed wooden arms, carved facial features with tiny inset black bead eyes, tiny thin line mouth, painted black hair, old cotton gown, simple carving of torso and hardy legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, mid-1800s, simple folk art carving with lack of artistry which adds a peculiar charm to the once beloved child's plaything.
