Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with angular oval face, painted facial features, deeply-set eye sockets with painted blue downcast eyes, heavy eyelids with dark eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full shaded lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 150 S&H 0 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, one of only four character models created by that firm for their 150 series. Value Points: rare character doll with well-defined modeling of solemn-faced older boy, original body and body finish.
