Description
14" (36 cm.) Very firm composition socket head with painted complexion and facial features, brown eyes, upper eyeliner, lightly tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouting expression and very full lips, brunette mohair wig in coiled braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Munich Art Dolls from the studio of artist Marian Kaulitz, circa 1908, whose dolls are considered the forerunners of the sought-after art doll movement of the next five years; this particular model closely resembles the 109 model by Kammer and Reinhardt which appeared shortly thereafter. Value Points: wonderfully preserved model with fine original and artistic complexion, original body and body finish, original folklore costume.
