Description
18" (46 cm.) All cloth doll with shaped mask face, painted complexion and facial features, large round eyes with encircling lashes, one-stroke comma brows, painted open mouth with four upper teeth, blonde bobbed hair under attached firm-bodied flannel top hat with black brim and border, stitched-on blue flannel jacket with white pearl buttons, lavender and cream checkered pants, velvet hands, red and white striped stockings and black velvet shoes. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny moth holes in jacket. Marks: Dean's Hygienic Dolls/The Mad Hatter (paper wrist tag). Comments: Dean's of London, circa 1940. Value Points: seldom found cloth doll, with wonderful costume, original tag.
