Description
14" (36 cm.) h. 11"l. Arranged upon a metal-wheeled wooden platform is a velvet and silk covered egg upon which is seated a bisque head doll with large blue glass paperweight eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accented lips, wire upper arms and legs, bisque forearms, and ivory satin costume and hat. The platform is further decorated with a fancy wicker basket with colorful flowers, and when pulled along, the doll raises and lowers its arms as though offering the flowers. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890, especially beautiful face.
