9" (23 cm.) and 7". Each has soft brushed velvet swivel head, the larger marketed as "Bully" in black and white, modeled to represent the French bulldog who was the darling of Parisian salons in the 1920s, with brushed mohair body, wire-framed stand-up ears, amber glass eyes, embroidered nose, freckles, painted mouth, tail, and leather studded collar with bell; the smaller terrier with painted striped mohair coat, black ears, amber glass eyes, painted freckles, and red collar, silver Steiff button in ear. Excellent condition. Germany, Steiff, circa 1950s.
