Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass inset eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig in long braids, twill stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1078 Simon & Halbig S&H Germany 2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: all-original doll with lovely bisque, sturdy body, wearing holiday style costume, patterned holly pinafore, and preserved in original box with St. Nicholas design on lid.
