12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted dark blue eyes with pronounced pupils in deeply-defined sockets, black upper eyeliner, one short-stroke brows, closed mouth with downcast pouty lips, center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 700 4/0. Comments: Marseille, circa 1910, the model was made with both glass eyes and this extremely rare painted eye version. Value Points: few models are known to exist of the doll, whose rarity is rivaled by her endearing wistfulness and fine quality of bisque and painting.
