Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 189 (head) Germany Made for GA Schwarz Philadelphia (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, from their character-puppen series. Value Points: wonderful expression with impressed crinkles around the eyes, dimpled lip corners, original body and body finish, the doll was presented by the prestige Philadelphia toy store.
