Description
10" (25 cm.) and 16". Each has chip-carved head with painted features, human hair, muslin body with kid hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Eskimo, depicting Inupiaq persons, attributed to Ethel Washington of Kotzebue, Alaska, mid-1900s. Value Points: each is wearing its original fur and hide costume comprising ugruk soled mukluks and Inupiaq parkas with richly-detailed trim, accessories, she with rawhide basket and little baby at her back, and he with bow and arrow.
