Description
12" (30 cm.) All-felt doll with attached very plump mask face, blue glass side-glancing large googly eyes, ochre eye shadow and brow shading, tiny button-shaped nose, tiny impish smile, brunette mohair hair in original unruly style, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1920, the doll was made for the American market, tradenamed as "Hug Me Kiddie". Value Points: wonderful whimsical expression on the wide-eyed googly, antique dress and red flannel coat.
