14" (36 cm.) All-composition with socket head, sculpted hair with curly forelock, painted large blue side-glancing eyes, dot brows, closed mouth, jointed arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Scootles, designed and copyright by Rose O'Neill, A Cameo Doll (original label). Comments: the Rose O'Neill design appears to be a joint venture of Cameo and Noma Toys of Canada; the doll is preserved in its original box labeled "Scootles Doll, cat.no.1349, Made in Canada by NOMA Toys Limited, Owen Sound, Ont., Toytown of Canada". Value Points: perfectly-preserved condition with original romper suit, socks and shoes, original label and box.
