Description
9" (23 cm.) doll. 11" egg. Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, French composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips, antique lingerie. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Le Parisien A-1 Paris (head) Bebe Steiner Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: fine quality bisque and original body and body finish, the doll is preserved in original paper mache egg along with additional costume elements and miniature dog with amber glass eyes.
