Description
19" (48 cm.) All-cloth doll with stiffened oil-painted facial features and brown hair in short bobbed fashion, painted large blue eyes with black outlined and thickly-painted upper lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body with oil-painted hands and painted coral shoes, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some light craquelure and rubs. Comments: Ella Smith, circa 1910, her cloth doll marketed as "Alabama Baby". Value Points: hard-to-find bobbed hair variation, rarer coral shoes.
