7 1/2" (19 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, brunette mohair wig, peg-jointing at shoulders and hips, painted thigh-high black stockings, brown heeled slippers with blue bows, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: Germany, circa 1885, attributed to Simon and Halbig. Value Points: charming pensive expression, rare style of stockings and shoes.
