14" (36 cm.) Each is all hard plastic with socket head, jointing at shoulders and hips, sleep eyes, and with original costumes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (each doll marked Alexander with name of doll). Comments: Alexander, circa 1950, included is Beth with Maggie face, auburn hair wearing patterned cotton dress with pink rick-rack, and clover leaf wrist tag; Amy with blonde hair, wearing rose taffeta gown with white pouf sleeves; Jo with Maggie face and brunette hat wearing red satin gown with black velvet trim; Meg with blonde hair wearing red and white striped shirtwaist gown with pique pinafore (few spots on gown); and Marme with brunette hair wearing Scottish plaid cotton gown with lace shawl. Value Points: the wonderful dolls have distinctive and beautifully-preserved coiffures.
