9" (23 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2/0. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1890, the doll was inspired by the French bebe whose market it sought to capture. Value Points: most endearing petite closed mouth doll with beautiful antique costume.
