Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with very deeply-modeled dimples and laughter lines, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, brunette mohair wig, composition toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 116/A 42. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912. Value Points: rare open mouth variation of the laughing character, with wonderfully-dimpled cheeks and laughter lines, original body and body finish, antique costume.
