Description
27" (69 cm.) Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, fringe-painted upper lashes, one-stroke angled brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, blonde human hair in ringlet curls, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1428 15. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1912. Value Points: the rare large size of the captivating character has allowed outstanding detail of modeling, especially laughter crinkles around the eyes and mouth, impressed dimples, finest bisque and complexion with gleaming patina.
