12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, painted blue eyes in deeply-set eye sockets, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips in pouting expression, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 500 G3H 6/0. Comments: Erste Steinbacher, circa 1923, the firm was then under the direction of Robert Carl and Gustav Heubach (hence the GH initials); the firm had been in existence since 1900 under various owners. Only two characters have been identified: 500 and 510. Value Points: very rare painted eye character with well-defined pouting expression, original body, wig and costume.
