12" (30 cm.) All carved wood with swivel head and loose-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles to allow for puppet manipulation, unusual carving of face is accentuated by darkened complexion, carved black beard and moustache, and mysterious emerald green glass inset eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Continental, 1700s, the figure is wearing original silk theatrical costume including tunic, pants, cape, turban, and carries an additional mask, and is resting in early box with engraved label at base.
