Description
11" (28 cm.) Posed upon a wooden platform with lithographed paper cover is a bisque head doll with painted jester features, brown glass eyes, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, wooden block torso and lower arms and legs, wearing velvet jester costume, along with a grey-flannel covered donkey with amber glass eyes, attached harness and saddle. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890; when the knob at the front is turned the jester turns his head from side to side and music merrily plays. Value Points: well-preserved and amusing parlor toy.
