15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck designed to allow head to rotate side to side realistically, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid-over-wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and with bisque lower arms with separately-sculpted fingers, wearing early white pique dress with soutache trim, bonnet, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, professional restoration on two fingers. Comments: French, circa 1860. Value Points: very beautiful doll with rare neck articulation allowing only realistic pivot, rare body style, beautiful eyes.
