Description
17" (43 cm.) h. x 12"w. The cabinet with mirrored door upper section and bombe-shaped base is of fine burled walnut and rosewood with inlay pencil stripe of light maple, and features mirrored double doors above and two graduated-size drawers below, enhanced with rich gilded bronze drawer pulls, key escutcheons and mounts; there are two separate locks and keys. Excellent condition. French, mid-1800s, the quality of woods, trims and construction suggest original creations as maitrise model.
