29" (74 cm.) An all-wooden carved horse with brown glass eyes, carved nostrils and open mouth with defined teeth, carved detail of knees and hooves, horsehair mane and tail, leather ear, is mounted upon a wheeled wooden platform with center iron rod in the manner of a carousel, painted dappled style in the manner of the classic Schoenhut circus horse with ochre shading at the nose and black hooves, with leather saddle with metal stirrups. Condition: generally excellent, original painted finish. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1910, the horse was created as an exhibition model for display presentation; the horse has been displayed in an Austrian museum for several decades. Value Points: extremely rare, of which very few examples of this exhibition model are known to exist.
