20" (51 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with deeply sculpted short black curly hair with tendrils around the face, painted facial features with glowing complexion, blue eyes, closed mouth with center accent line, slender kid body with wooden lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: well-modeled and painted hair, wonderful antique costume including velvet patterned vest, green flannel suit.
