45" (114 cm.) Bisque head with unique neck construction designed to accommodate mannequin body, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accented lips, brunette mohair wig, on original mannequin body with muslin cover, carved wooden lower legs and feet with defined ankle boots, carved wooden lower arms and hands with elaborately detailed articulation of fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.G. (scroll on head) 10. Comments: attributed to the Parisian mannequin creator, Tockman, with original Gaultier head, circa 1890. Value Points: especially fine quality of bisque and painting, wonderful hand detail, antique mariner costume including sailor cap.
