Carved wooden shoulderhead, enamel eyes, closed mouth, painted features, brunette wig, padded armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, very expressive fingers, posed standing on original wooden ebony base; wearing antique costume with red woolen peddler's cape. Condition: generally excellent, some retouch of features. Comments: mid-1800s. Value Points: the peddler lady carries basket of kitchen tin wares and other novelties including five tiny wooden articulated dolls.
