34" (86 cm.) The carved wooden horse posed as though galloping, has original painted finish, black glass eyes, wooden carved ears, leather saddle and harness, is positioned on a cast iron tricycle with wooden hand grips, and very ornate cast iron frame, stirrups and pedals. Excellent condition. French, circa 1870, the luxury toy was made by several Parisian firms including that of Auguste Reidemeister, the brother-in-law of dollmaker Leontine Rohmer.
