22" (56 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead, black enamel eyes, painted lashes and lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted lips with two square-cut upper and lower teeth, original brunette human hair wig over painted black pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing, antique dress and undergarments, leather laced shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1850. Value Points: the early paper mache poupee has fine original painting and complexion, very sturdy body.
