Description
22" (56 cm.) x 20" x 8"d. Of lightweight material with thick textured finish to simulate stucco or stone construction, the arched front scene has columnar sides and a defined arched panel on the back wall which is decorated by a hanging fabric panel with gold thread accents centered by a pair of ormolu ornaments. Furnishing the scene is a loosely-woven carpet, pair of marble plinths (one with repair on marble top) upon which are presented a pair of busts, gilt metal treasure chest with faux-ruby accent, and a wooden book stand with book. Overall excellent. Age of background is uncertain, accessories are 1800s.
