16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, heart-shaped upper lip with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 1 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880, early period bebe from the firm. Value Points: beautiful plump-faced bebe with finely-painted features and splendid eyes, original early body.
