Description
25" (64 cm.) Paper mache head depicting a broad-cheeked fellow with beaming smile, over-sized ears, painted brows and closed mouth, blue glass eyes, is loosely attached to one-piece composition body with large hands, pointing finger on left hand, large black shoes, blonde mohair wig, wearing white waiter's uniform and cap. When wound, the figure nods its head side to side while his eyes blink back and forth, in a continuous manner designed to serve as attention-getter. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: well-preserved original finish on the amusing character that functions well.
