17" (43 cm.) All cloth doll with firmly-pressed and oil-painted hair, complexion and facial features, brown short boyish hair with forelock curls, brown painted eyes with white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, tiny closed mouth, blushed cheeks, stitch-jointed arms, separately-stitched thumb, disc-jointed limbs, nicely costumed. Condition: possible very fine professional restoration to head as it is virtually perfect, whereas torso and legs have some spotting. Marks: Kathe Kruse 9488 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1920. Value Points: endearing wistful faced boy with very fine painting.
