22" (56 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral-threaded eyes with darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing, stitched and separated fingers, lovely silk brocade gown, undergarments, bonnet, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, the rare facial model transitioned from this poupee to the premiere bebe of the firm, and was made for a very short time only. Value Points: gorgeous poupee with splendid eyes, flawless complexion, very sturdy original body.
