Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brushstroked blonde baby hair with forelock curl, pronounced ears, painted blue downcast eyes, black upper eyeliner, short-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with defined tongue tip and two beaded upper teeth, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent, retouch on hands. Marks: C.P. 208/38 Deponiert. Comments: Catterfelder Puppenfabrick, circa 1912, the model was made with glass eyes or this rarer version with painted eyes. Value Points: especially fine modeling with impressed cheek dimples, choice bisque and painting, antique costume included linen bib embroidered "Der Elfern Stolz".
