Description
18" (46 cm.) w. trunk. The wooden trunk with canvas cover has leather strip accents and chrome key plate, and with lift-out tray. Presented in the trunk are a wonderful collection of antique samplers and needlework, including 13" x 18" sampler with unusual lavender stitching, dated "1883 Anna Riediger"; 14" x 13" white linen sampler with red embroidery, 1893; 14" x 15" cross-stitch sampler dated "Maria Stieger 1924"; 9" x 18" sampler of unusual dainty dimity with various styles of embroidery; 10" x 15" sampler with pink and green embroidery dated 1908; 13" x 12" linen sampler with red embroidery dated "M.B. 1906", and more. Excellent condition. Late 19th century.
