Description
18" (46 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with up-tilted head, slender elongated throat, black sculpted hair waved away from face and captured into a gilt snood at back of head, with gilt bows at crown and sides of head, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rare coiffure with deeply-defined combmarks, rich gilt decoration, original body, lovely antique costume. Ex-Collection Davos Spielzeug Museum.
