Solid domed bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast center accent line, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, kid body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, bisque forearms, Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 9 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: fine luminous bisque on the early closed mouth doll, original body, antique costume.
