Solid domed bisque shoulderhead with delicate complexion, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with slightly downcast expression, brunette human hair wig, kid body with gusset jointing at hips and knees, bisque forearms. Condition: bisque excellent, body is patched. Marks: 123-11. Comments: C.F. Kling, circa 1885, the model appeared from the firm in a number of variations; although the face was always the same model, the doll appeared with glass or painted eyes, modeled hair or wig, and sometimes with modeled detail of blouse bodice on shoulderplate. The facial model also closely resemble's the Kling model 106 (see lot#105 of this catalog). Value Points: very beautiful gentle expression enhanced by delicate complexion.
