Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brushstroked short boyish hairstyle with forelock curl, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled to appear as though open, outlined lips, impressed cheek dimples, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, sailor costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 131 7. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, circa 1915. Value Points: the rarely-found model, depicting an older boy with slender face, impressed cheek dimples, excellent bisque, original body and body finish.
