Description
16" (41 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with black sculpted hair cropped short with curls around the forehead, painted facial features, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain limbs, painted flat black shoes. Condition: generally excellent, left thumb broken. Marks: DM EE (in script inside shoulder plate). Comments: Germany, circa 1865, the doll is wearing its original shirt and white pique pants, bow tie, was owned by Marie Sophie Morgensen, a grandchild of King Frederik VI of Denmark. Provenance: Legoland Museum.
