13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very full cheeks and chin, pale blue glass enamel eyes with spiral threading and darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, bisque forearms with sculpted hands, antique silk costume, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, left baby finger tip chipped. Marks: 3/0 (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1880, early bebe from the celebrated firm. Value Points: very beautiful face with splendid eyes, gentle expression, original body.
