Description
39" (99 cm.) l. 29"h. The finely carved wooden carousel horse in prancing pose is small child size has unusual carved detail of mane, ears, mouth, and carved harness with tassel trim, saddle blanket and saddle; hidden at the back end of saddle is the carved head of a laughing face man. The horse has large glass eyes and is posed on an original cast iron pedestal. Excellent condition, outstanding detail of carving with intricate features and details of decoration, very fine original painting. Circa 1890, rare size and rare carved and painted decorations.
