25" (64 cm.) x 14"w. x 5"d. Fine walnut wood armoire with paneled double doors, arched crest with ogee carving, lower drawer, cast metal hardware, opens to reveal four well-stocked linen shelves, and a list of "composition de trousseau" on the inside door, listing 50 various house linens and accessories. Excellent condition, French, circa 1890. The fitted armoire was a popular offering in holiday Etrennes catalogs of the era in Paris.
