Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, very full cheeks and chin, amber brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with painted teeth between the shaded outlined lips, pierced ears, kid gusset-jointed bebe body, bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flake on upper right eye rim, original body is firm with few patches. Marks: Bte SGDG (forehead) (circle dot symbol on back of head). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1880. Value Points: rare painted teeth on the early bebe, lovely eyes.
