14" (36 cm.) Maggie face, non-walker style body, platinum blonde floss hair with bangs and elaborate braided looped curls at her nape below an arrangement of curls at the back crown decorated with black velvet bows, small hands. Wearing grey taffeta gown printed with red roses and leaves, cream taffeta lace-edged puff sleeves and yoke with three bead buttons and rick-rack neckline, polished cotton petticoat with blue embroidered edging, pantalets with cutwork edging, socks, black side-snap shoes with little bows. The dress is tagged "Louisa M. Alcott's Little Women "Amy" by Madame Alexander N.Y. USA All Rights Reserved". Near mint condition. Alexander, 1950, very rare costume and hair color variations, with original cloverleaf gilt "Amy" wrist tag and original box stamped "Amy".
